Dinosaur Land

Dinosaurland was about the only place in any of Disney's parks that we were a bit disappointed. They don't seem to have a concrete theme in mind for Dino-Land. It's kind of a cross between a Prehistoric forest with real dinosaurs ( no real ones ) and a modern day desert dinosaur dig site. It comes across more like a city park complete with a fountain with a concrete tricaritops in the middle. It's even got a children's park complete with dinosaur bones. The biggest letdown was the McDonalds right in the middle of it. I thought we came to Disney to get away from society. It was a bit depressing.
Although Dinoland was a disappointment, it did have one of the three best rides anywhere in Disney. (the other two are Space Mountain and the Tower of Terror.) Countdown to Extinction is kind of a cross between Star tours and a rollercoaster with a believable theme and great special affects.
