Yes Virginia, We Can Eat.

Anybody who thinks Walt Disney World is about the rides hasn't vacationed with the Cavness'.  It's a gastronomical adventure to say the least.

In my studies of how to get the most from our WDW adventures I have found what I think is the greatest tool - an internet site known by it's devotees simply as The Dis .  I have met some wonderful people there who happen to share my disfunction for anything having to do with the Mouse.  On this particular trip we had a chance to meet and eat with some of them.  What an incredibly nice group of people.

This particular restaurant is at the Canadian pavillion at Epcot.  It is called La Cellier and is terrific.

One of the small treasures I have learned about from The Dis is a little soda shop called Beaches and Cream.  We decided to have dinner there on Sunday and were seated right next to the old fashioned jukebox.  Having been seated there it was our responsibility to choose the music for the restaurant.  A responsibility we took very seriously.

The wait staff at Beaches and Cream will tell you unabashedly that they have the best hamburgers, hotdogs and milkshakes at Walt Disney World.  We heartily and heftily agree.

Can someone say ice cream sundae?
Another restaurant.  This is the Crystal Palace.  It is a restaurant at the Magic Kingdom which features - of course - the Hundred Acre Wood crowd.  We ate breakfast there, but the dinners are phenomenal.  We ate dinner at the Crystal Palace later in December and were totally amazed.
Notice the white lanyard around Wendy's neck.  This was given to each of us free because we were passholders to celebrate the 100 Years of Magic celebration.  We were at Walt Disney World during the soft opening so we got to see some of the behind the magic stuff.  It was very fun.
